Configuring SQL Server or ODBC Connectivity on 64-bit Windows

Article #: Product: Version:

Summary

On a 64-bit Windows system, you can run either a 32-bit or 64-bit version of DMExpress.

Resolution

When connecting to SQL Server or another ODBC-connected database from DMExpress on a 64-bit Windows system, you must create a 32-bit DSN. If you are running the 64-bit version of DMExpress, you also need to create a 64-bit DSN with the same name.

Additional Information

For additional details on connecting to SQL Server from DMExpress, see Connecting to Microsoft SQL Server databases in the DMExpress Help.

For details on how to set up 32-bit DMExpress on 32-bit Windows, see Defining ODBC data sources in the DMExpress Help.
