Certain distributions of DMExpress come with the DataDirect SQL Server Wire Protocol Driver. To ensure correct and optimal functioning of this driver with DMExpress , the following configuration options should be set as indicated in the odbc.ini file:
To avoid potential issues when using the DataDirect SQL Server Wire Protocol Driver with DMExpress , set the following configuration options as indicated in the odbc.ini file.
This option turns on ANSI_NULLS and ANSI_WARNINGS, required for handling NULL comparisons when accessing linked SQL Servers.
This option allows quoted identifiers, preventing errors when dealing with table and column names that contain spaces.
This option enables use of the SQL Server bulk load protocol, allowing better performance. Note that the sample odbc.ini file shipped with DMExpress has this option set to 0, so be sure to change it to 1 if using that file.
